Eleanore commissioned by WWF
Eleanore has been commissioned to compose the theme song for WWF-UK's exciting new competition 'My True Nature'.
Eleanore's inspiring song is now available for download: text 'track 7321 m' to 80818 to download it straight to your mobile phone (requires WAP support). Otherwise text 'track 7321' and you will receive a text with download instructions.
The song will shortly be released on all major download sites as a single, and will feature on Eleanore & the Lost's next album. With her band, the Lost, Eleanore will also perform the song at a celebrity event for the charity later in the year.
The competition, which was launched last week and which runs until 9th September, is aimed at 7-16 year olds to encourage them to capture their own personal connections with nature, on camera, in words or through art, sound or movement.
Youngsters can submit their entry to the My True Nature website which also features films from WWF, interviews - and the specially commissioned theme song by Eleanore.
No doubt it's the exceptional beauty of Eleanore's voice and the quality of her songwriting and orchestral composing that convinced WWF to commission her, but Eleanore is also 'the real deal' when it comes to living an ethical and eco-friendly lifestyle, eating organic food, making her own household cleaners and natural beauty products and minimising energy use. In fact, Eleanore's family was featured in Ethical Consumer magazine in 2008 for their low carbon lifestyle. This commission was therefore a great opportunity for Eleanore to put into words what she feels about the natural world around her.
